King Center Celebrates
35 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE
FOR 35 YEARS , the King Center for the Performing Arts has been providing Brevard County patrons with notable performances and special presentations .
The year-long celebration began on April 10 with the help of the National Touring and Tony Award-winning Broadway show , Fiddler on the Roof . The evening included a fun , interactive photo booth for fans to use before the performance , complimentary themed cupcakes and a special pre-performance recognition ceremony on stage with the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce , EFSC College President Dr . Jim Richey , and former BCC / EFSC College President , Dr . Maxwell C . King .
“ It was truly an honor to have Dr . King here and to be involved with the 35th anniversary celebration event ,” said Chad Ballard , former King Center Director of Sales and marketing . “ Were it not for his vision of this facility , to serve as both a wonderful place for community and a celebration of the performing arts , we may not have a venue option of this caliber on the Space Coast today .”
While a direct support organization of Eastern Florida State College , The King Center ’ s management is under the leadership and professional management of ASM Global , the world ’ s leading producer of entertainment experiences and global leader in venue and event strategy and management . ASM has made great strides in further developing artist and promoter relationships , bringing top level talent and events to Brevard while continuing to represent the venue in its highest regard .

The 35-year-old venue is embarking on the next phase of renovation projects , continuing to evolve and modernize to better serve the rapidly expanding Space Coast Community . New designs and upgrades to portions of the facility will allow the King Center to attract and pursue trade and convention shows , private events , venue rentals and other ancillary events . More information regarding renovation and modernization plans is forthcoming .
