Message from the EFSC President
EASTERN FLORIDA State College is on the move .
In April , we announced a plan to invest $ 87 million in the Cocoa Campus over 10 years to build new high-tech centers , construct student housing and make major improvements to buildings and grounds .
Not long afterward , the Florida Legislature and Governor Ron DeSantis awarded the college nearly $ 21 million for a pair of new high-tech centers on the Melbourne and Titusville campuses .
Together , the initiatives will further strengthen the college ’ s leading role in providing a pipeline of highly skilled employees to aerospace , defense and a range of other high-tech companies along the Space Coast .
We ’ re very grateful to Gov . DeSantis , state lawmakers and the Brevard County legislative delegation for making the new funding possible , and for the input from citizens and community leaders in crafting the Cocoa Campus plan .
If all that wasn ’ t enough , we recently broke ground on our second Student Residence Hall on the Melbourne Campus , which will allow another 96 students to live on campus .
