COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF BREVARD

Supports EFSC Veterinary Technology Programs

THE EFSC FOUNDATION would like to give a big shout out to the Community Foundation of Brevard for its recent grant of $ 4,134 in support of EFSC ’ s two Veterinary Technology programs .
The funding will be used to provide updated equipment and tools students need to be proficient with upon graduating from the Veterinary Nursing and Veterinary Assistant programs .
The new equipment includes a dental elevator set , warming blankets , a doppler for monitoring heart rates during surgeries , a soft paws critical care air muzzle for use with aggressive felines and several smaller items for educational purposes in the classrooms and labs .
“ We are so excited and grateful for the recent grant we received from the Community Foundation ,” said Jessica Webb , Clinical Coordinator for the Veterinary Nursing program . “ The new equipment we were able to purchase will help us provide instruction to students on many different species of animals , making them more wellrounded practitioners .”
EFSC is a multi-faceted jewel of our community ,” said Theresa Grimison , Community Foundation for Brevard President and CEO . “ It is our honor to provide this support for these important programs .
