AI-Generated Visual Content and Brand Standards

Eastern Florida State College( EFSC) is committed to maintaining a consistent, authentic, professional, and trustworthy visual identity across all College communications. As generative artificial intelligence( AI) tools become increasingly accessible, the College recognizes the need to establish clear standards for the creation and use of AI-generated visual and multimedia content.
AI-Generated Images and Graphics AI-generated or AI-created images, illustrations, graphics, artwork, or other visual assets may not be used in official EFSC communications, marketing materials, websites, social media, advertising, publications, presentations intended for external audiences, signage, promotional materials, or other College-branded content unless specifically authorized by the Office of Communications.
This includes content created wholly or substantially through generative AI platforms or features, including AIgenerated photography, illustrations, backgrounds, people, environments, logos, icons, or other visual elements intended to represent EFSC, its students, employees, campuses, programs, or services.
All graphics and designed visual materials representing Eastern Florida State College must be created or approved by the College’ s Printing & Graphics Department and receive approval from the Associate Vice President of Communications or their designee before publication or distribution.
College departments and employees should not independently create AI-generated graphics or imagery for official College use.
AI-Generated Video AI-generated or substantially AI-created video content may not be used to represent Eastern Florida State College, its students, employees, programs, facilities, events, or services without prior authorization from the Office of Communications.
This restriction includes, but is not limited to:
• AI-generated people, presenters, avatars, or voices presented as representatives of EFSC;
• AI-generated or altered campus environments, classrooms, facilities, events, or activities; synthetic footage intended to appear as authentic photography or videography;
• AI-generated promotional or advertising videos; and manipulated video that could reasonably cause viewers to misunderstand what is real, documented, or officially associated with the College.
Departments seeking video content for College communications should submit a request to the College’ s Production Team. The Production Team can assist with planning, filming, editing, and producing video content consistent with EFSC’ s communications and brand standards.
