EFSC Celebrates Graduation
in a Whole New Way
T
here were drive-ups, virtual ceremonies and alumni
t-shirts to make our graduates know how important their
graduation was for them and the College.
On May 14, EFSC celebrated the Spring 2020 graduation with
a special Virtual Commencement Ceremony, plus students
celebrated at the Melbourne Campus for drive-up photo
opportunities. The EFSC Foundation ran a Facebook campaign
for students to share their photos and videos. Those that
shared received an alumni t-shirt.
“Graduates refused to let COVID-19 pandemic dampen their
spirits. It was an amazing and joyful display of pride in their
accomplishments”, said college President, Dr. Jim Richey.
USE YOUR CREATIVITY
A former NASA scientist invented the Super Soaker. With a job of
NASA engineer, Lonnie G. Johnson would already be considered
an impressive person. Not only did he help develop the US Air
Force stealth bomber program, but he also invented the
Super Soaker water gun in the 1980s.
