CAMPUS CAPITAL PROJECTS

MELBOURNE CAMPUS:
• Completion of the Center for Innovative Technology Education( CITE) Building, including a new 76-space student parking lot.
• Construction began at the King Center on the new Titan Suite. This project creates a private entertaining and viewing experience for King Center shows that will be made available for community members to rent. The rental revenue generated will support student scholarships through the EFSC Foundation.
• Installed 2 new 750-ton chiller units to service the entire campus, including new CITE building.
• Replaced and upgraded roofing on Bldg. 6 and Bldg. 10 to a“ standing seam” metal roof to prevent ongoing leaks.
COCOA CAMPUS:
• Installed a new fire sprinkler main to ensure increased water pressure for“ Building Fire Sprinkler System.”
• Completed the design for renovation of Bldg. 20, 2nd floor to create a new STEM building. Renovations will include new chemistry, biology, and physics labs and classrooms.
• Issued a contract to remodel Bldg. 12 to create the new Advanced Training Center( ATC) on 1st and 2nd floors, including library remodel and consolidation to 3rd floor with tutoring services.
• Replaced roof on Bldg. 13 to prevent ongoing roof leaks.
TITUSVILLE CAMPUS:
• Phase 2 of the Aerospace Center of Excellence( ACE) project is underway. Project details include the remodeling of the Bldg. 4 gym, stage, and locker rooms to new classrooms and labs; and the addition of a new 15,000 square foot aircraft hangar to accommodate hands-on training opportunities.
• Completed the parking lot drainage and paving project to improve building access and environmental conditions.
PALM BAY CAMPUS:
• Replaced roofs on Bldgs. 1, 2, and 5 due to hailstorm damage. Interior remediation and renovations from storm damage totaled over $ 3.8 million, which included removal of saturated drywall, insulation, and rusted metal framing. New material and finishes were installed to provide optimal learning environment.
• Replaced failing lab fume hoods with new modern exhaust hoods to modernize training opportunities.
