235 GRADUATES
FALL COMMENCEMENT
was held in December , just prior to Winter Break , and celebrated outstanding student success . A total of 852 Students
were eligible to graduate , with 1,031 degrees and certificates earned and more than 500 students participating in two ceremonies at the King Center for the Performing Arts .
Held on Thursday , December 12 , Fall Commencement was extra special this year as we celebrated siblings from Ukraine who came to Brevard County under a U . S . government program created to assist Ukrainians fleeing the war .
Yelsei and Anastasiia Shkirpan came to Brevard County in April 2023 with their mother Julia and took part in the U . S . government ’ s United for Ukraine program thanks to sponsorship through Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic . Both enrolled at EFSC and worked to earn their Associate in Science degrees in Computer Programming and Analysis . In January 2025 , both Shkirpans began EFSC ’ s Bachelor of
Applied Science degree program in Computer Information Systems Technology , Data Science Specialization , making their deceased father ’ s dream come true .
Zach Devaney completed a four-year commitment as a canine trainer and handler serving in the U . S . Marines . He participated in the Fall 2024 ceremony as a Summer Term recipient of an Associate in Arts degree and is now taking bachelor ’ s degree prerequisites working toward an Associate in Science degree in Chemical Technology . Upon completion of his second associate degree in Spring 2025 , he plans to transfer to the University of Central Florida to pursue a Bachelor ’ s Degree in Biology .
Not only family and friends of graduates traveled to Melbourne for this special day . Organizational Management Bachelor of
Applied Science graduate Daniela Dinolfo flew in all the way from Chicago where she finished her Accounting Specialization program as an EFSC online student while working as an international Italian language interpreter in Spain .
