The year 2024 was a very successful one for Eastern Florida State College , highlighted by several key initiatives that will benefit students , faculty , staff , and our community for many years to come .
They include :
• The successful achievement of the 10-year reaffirmation of our accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges ( SACSCOC )
• The year-one achievements of our Quality Enhancement Plan ( QEP ), “ Rocket to Success ”
• Groundbreaking for the new Center for Innovative Technology Education ( CITE ) and the start of the new Aerospace Center of Excellence ( ACE )
• New First Year Experience ( FYE ) program to enhance student success from the minute they register for their first class at EFSC
• Health Sciences Institute programs achieve accreditation
• The Healthy Body Healthy Mind initiative to assist students with their well-being
• New partnership with Brevard Public Schools to enhance firefighter training
