The King Center for the Performing Arts marked its 35th anniversary as a cultural landmark in Central Florida , with more than 100,000 attendees that brought shows back to pre-pandemic levels .

The King Center for the Performing Arts marked its 35th anniversary as a cultural landmark in Central Florida , with more than 100,000 attendees that brought shows back to pre-pandemic levels .

• The King Center ’ s loyal community support gave us the “ Best of Brevard ” award once again for the live theatre category
• Staged more than 120 shows and hosted several community events including high school proms , ministry services and charity auctions .
• Events that drew more than 1,500 attendees including musical acts America , Foreigner , Styx , Bonnie Raitt , Joe Bonamassa , Frankie Vallie & The Four Seasons and the Beach Boys
• Major comedy acts included Tom Segura , Nate Bargatze , Jim Gaffigan and Weird Al Yankovic
• Broadway shows included national tours of Chicago , On Your Feet , Stomp , Respect , the Aretha Franklin Story , and Fiddler on the Roof
• The Classic Albums Live series and Brevard Symphony Orchestra concerts remained popular mainstays
• The L3 Harris Mainstage events saw a nearly 12 percent increase in average attendance while food and beverage sales increased 65 percent
• Increased attendance meant an increase in staffing with over 75 event staff and a robust volunteer program of over 200 members
• Plans are underway for a full renovation of the kitchen facilities and updating the Rotunda
• The improvements will pave the way for increases in facility rentals and food and beverage sales
