3 be a monosyllabic, phonetic and non-alphabetic language which is why most learners have problems with pronunciation, enunciation and spelling in English (Firth & Rogers, 1937). 1.3 Purpose of the Project The core purpose of this project is to recommend and pilot different methods of teaching English as a foreign language in a virtual classroom so that teachers would overcome the problems discussed earlier with these learners through different exercises, activities and language based games – Task Based Language Instruction. It also attempts to argue and examine the way such an enjoyable and entertaining atmosphere can improve the quality of the teachers’ performance to make the process of learning take place effectively with the intention of having the learners become more involved in class and sufficiently exposed to all aspects of the language in terms of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation in addition to receptive and productive skills by all means which will encourage them to produce the language in a smoother manner. Consequently, it also aims to discover ways that would boost learners’ confidence in producing the target language using a wide range of activities through different styles and methods of teaching, for instance, TPR, CLT, and Silent Way. Another important objective of this research is to deliberate over the different ways an online EFL teacher can develop these learners’ skills in self-expression and encourage communication and interaction in class through the different educational activities presented in the 15 units since all classes are teacher-student centered and activities are implemented inductively.
