The Transitional Training Model is a unique, indigenous, learning framework that is
aimed to revolutionize the learning architecture at EFERT. The idea was
successfully designed and developed in-house and after months of planning and
hard work, the concept was launched at Daharki on the 21st of January 2018.
Being true to our legacy of innovation and leveraging our skills and knowledge to
improve lives and to further build on our competitive advantage in the business, we
have introduced this revised technical training methodology to suit the dynamicity
of our business. It also introduces a culture of continuous learning for our engineers,
polishing their talents and bringing out the best of their abilities. The idea came
about after the rigorous HR Connect sessions where Skill Enhancement was
discovered as one of the top 3 concerns.
Keeping this at the core of all the interventions, we embarked on a journey to
design management skills’ courses and develop technical courses with the help of
the Daharki technical teams. A total of 98 Transitional Training Modules (32 for I&E
Department, 23 for Process Department, 16 for Production Department and 27 for
our Mechanical Department) have been developed by experts from EFERT for the
talented engineers we have in our Company.
During the launch ceremony at Daharki, five learning booths, one for each technical
craft along with the HR learning booth were designed upon which all modules were
showcased to commemorate the tremendous efforts of our teams! The event
started with a presentation by the EFERT HR team where they introduced the
concept and introduced the motto of developing our people on-the-job. The Daharki
Training team also highlighted the efforts put in by everyone in the contributing
team and concluded the presentation.
The ceremony continued with the distribution of awards by Ruhail Mohammad for
all individuals who contributed to this initiative after which Shahzad Nabi shared his
futuristic vision for our new learning methodology. Asif Tajik was invited to shed
some light on the initiative and it’s benefits for the Manufacturing division after
which Ruhail Muhammad shared his thoughts on the Transitional Training Model.
We truly believe that TTM will introduce a culture of structured and sustainable
learning for all employees, and will bring together a whole amalgam of experiences,
knowledge and skills in a comprehensive framework. This will not only change our
outlook to learning but will also foster a culture of improving our knowledge!
Happy Learning, everyone !
