I
n March 2015 I had the opportunity to
work with Cristina Otero, “is a Spanish
photographer and artist best known for
her self portraits. Otero is the youngest
artist in Spain who has ever exhibited
individually in an art gallery, when she
was 15.”
She was one of my inspirations
who introduced me to self-portrait
photography.
My first exhibition was in July 2015;
I was 15 years old and one of my
self-portrait pieces took part in “The
Dreamers collection” which was
carried out in the Louvre museum in
Paris, France. Later, a book with all the
artworks exhibited was published and
now can be seen online.
In August 2016, I had the opportunity
to be part of David Talley’s workshop in
Monterrey Mexico. David Talley is a fine
art photographer based in London. It
was amazing to work with him because
we found we had so much in common in
photography terms and we did a portrait
together which took part in an auction
in México City in 2017 in which the
money collected was donated to people
affected by the earthquake.
