● Some authors suggest that this transient increase in [ Ca 2 + ] allow cells to accumulate sublethal damage using cellular adaptive responses. This adaptive response including induction of transcription and translation related oxidative enzyme heme oxygenase stress, induction of heat shock proteins and the stimulation of cell growth by increased levels of prostaglandin E2.
● A LEVL treatment or a low concentration of H 2 O 2 causes an approximately 12 % increase in the [ Ca 2 + ], with a length of over 60 min. This signal can be interpreted by the cell as a signal that leads to activation of various genes and cellular processes which can initiate healing therapeutic effect attributed to LEVL.
