The editorial board of IN EDUCATION is proud to announce the 10th anniversary issue of the journal for autumn 2019 . Ten years ago we launched the online , open access iteration of the journal . To recognize this landmark , we are issuing a call to all our past and current authors , reviewers , and readers to submit a manuscript for this celebratory special issue , “ Teaching in the 21 st Century Intercultural / Multilingual / Multi-literate Classroom .” Submit by September 16 , 2019 .
The journal continues to invite articles and reviews of works that explore ideas in teacher education , as well as broader and more inclusive discussions in education . We envision works that augment the latitude and significance of education and that acknowledge the exponential growth of the digital arts and sciences in everyday practices and how these may inform / form the myriad notions of education . We encourage the submission of high quality works that travel across the qualitative and quantitative research landscape , engendering conversations in thoughtful and innovative ways . This may include , but is not limited to , work in ethnography , postmodern and postcolonial approaches , Indigenous research and decolonization , queer theory , arts-based research , bricolage , narrative inquiry , autoethnography , critical theory , phenomenology , hermeneutics , descriptive , correlational , quasi-experimental , experimental or mixed methods .
