Dr . Patrick Lewis , upon completing his term as Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Human Resources , was honoured on June 8 , 2021 as a valued contributor in the Faculty ’ s Education Indigenous Circle ( EIC ). Elder Alma Poitras , Knowledge Keeper Joseph Naytowhow , and Indigenization Chair Dr . Anna-Leah King presented Patrick with a blanket , along with songs , poems , and appreciative comments . The EIC , formerly called the Aboriginal Advisory Circle , was established in 2011 to make recommendations for and fund decolonizing initiatives in the Faculty . |
