"I hosted a girl from Spain. Her name is Maria. She was here as a part of Erasmus+ project Edu-paths. She stayed in our house for 3 days. She tasted our traditional food and she gave us Spanish traditional sweets. I told her some things about Slovakia and I taught her some words in Slovak language, she taught me some Spanish words too. I used only English language while talking to project participants. Using English is important because I need it for my studies at grammar school. Before she came here, I was nervous and I was afraid, but if I had another oportunity to be a host, I would do it again. It was really a memorable experience."

"As part of the project, I participated in LTT activity during which I provided temporary accommodation to a foreign pupil. From the very first moment with our French foreign student Charlin, I knew English would be our only possible way of communicating. At the beginning of the whole acquaintance the situation was quite tense. But everything changed during the first dinner. This evening brought Slovak and French culture together. Charlin told us about their traditional dishes, festivals, and French culture. For example, we learned how young people and children in their country follow their traditions. We also found many common interests despite the significant differences in our countries for example in music, film genres, and so on. Except for the weaker English of a foreign student, there were no complications. Charlin brought me closer to another and unusual landscape, but she also showed me another, better view of the world. Until today, I do not regret the decision to offer someone a home, and I am pleased that I have joined the project."
