"It was Sunday night. Hosting students with their parents and teachers met in the school hallway. We were waiting for the arrival of students from France, Spain and Iceland as a part of our Erasmus+ project. Nervousness was rising, expectations were great. They finally arrived. When welcomed by teachers, the pupils were divided into families. I hosted Axel from France. After the initial shyness we exchanged a few sentences in the car. "The month of January there was a meeting of pupils from our school and pupils from abroad who participated in the Erasmus+ project. There were pupils from Spain,Iceland and France. On Sunday evening, when the arrival of pupils from abroad took place, we came to school, welcomed them and accommodated at home. Arrival and meeting took place in our school´s lobby. Andrea from Spain visited me. Everyone was nervous about the expectations, but I finally got to know Andrea well even though we sometimes didn't understand each other. We accommodated her in my room, which she only had for herself. She was very nice and friendly. My parents also understood her well, and liked her very much. Parents' and Andrea's communication was really an experience for me and for her. I laughed so much at that. Having a host gave me the courage to communicate in English, overcome fear and brought me a new experience in communication in English."
