life in a cave

In 1944 in a village of Borka in times of the second world war, the father of Mikloš decided to hide his 12 year old son in a cave because of the war. In these years people wore hats a lot and Mikloš's father wore one too. On one cold January day Mikloš and his father were looking for a cave to hide the boy in. On that day it was very windy and the wind blew Mikloš's father's hat away. They were deep in a forest on steep mountains. Mikloš was very kind and went to retrieve his father's hat back. When he found the hat, he grabbed the hat and as he looked up he saw a cave. He then shouted to his father that he found a cave. The cave was in a height of 8 meters and that's why his father took a tree and hacked at the branches until he made ladder stairs and then put them against the mountain wall. The father then left the boy alone. The boy made a bed out of stones so he would have something to sleep on. The boy only left the cave at night when the cannon fire stopped to drink water from the creek and eat plant roots and survived there for one month. The cave is now called Lôžková because of his stone bed (in Slovak lôžko). When he was 70 years old, with some help of speleologists he returned to look at the cave to bring back the memories of times when he survived for one month in it 58 years ago because his father was afraid of him getting hurt.

From this we can learn that nothing in life is impossible and that there is nothing to be afraid of because we can do everything
