FEELINGS LEADING
TO S A F W ?
I was quite young when I saw that I was good at designing. I remember
I had a final designing project in high school and I got some really good
feedback from the teacher. I designed a beautiful dress. Then I thought
why don’t I make a career out if this?
I feel like I’ve been leading up to this moment from when I started study-
ing fashion. I’ve had this competition in mind for 5 years. My entire career
has culminated to this moment. Getting to this point has been very emo-
tional for me.
This collection is my first collection ever so I was looking to discover
who I want to be. I’ve worked for designers for a while now, so creating
a representation of myself was a priority. I’ve always had an idea of my-
self being an edgy designer with a lot of sex appeal. Getting it done was a
challenge because I could add concepts to designs forever, so it was very
stressful to be honest. I nearly pulled out of the competition because I
was over it. But sitting here right now and hearing all the good feedback
is really amazing and really rewarding. Getting all this positive feedback is
makes me realise that all my efforts were worthwhile.

COLLECTION.
Creating this collection was a journey of finding my aesthetic. I always
knew I had one, but I didn’t knew what it was. I found, through this jour-
ney, that my personal aesthetic is sexy, alluring and powerful and that’s
who I want to appeal to: alluring, powerful women. I created this collec-
tion for someone who is confident in her body and confident in herself
most importantly. I love the human anatomy. I want to envision a woman
wearing my garments as a confident person flaunting what she has with-
out looking tacky.
