HOW TO CREATE A TYPEFACE?
Y
es exactly. The argument on why it
wouldn't make sense creating your own
typeface could be used by lack of time.
But FontSelf, a digital extension for Adobe
Illustrator let's create fonts within an hour.
What you simply need to do is grabbing a pen and p aper, and start drawing your unique
lettering. You then simply take a photo or scan
it, and paste into Illustrator, trace it and expand
it, and FontSelf will then do the job for you. You
can do this for endless time, and I must admit,
you'll get dependent in the end.

examples of some of my very personal
handwriting that has been digitalized

used some hours achieving the right thickness
and having the same size of each letter - still I
wanted it to have the personal handdrawned
shape. The second one was painted font,
where I just wanted to play with the system.
