WE NEEDED TO TURN A LOBSTER TANK AND A 1000 M2 FRIDGE INTO THE COOLEST SPACE IN TOWN. S ince Space 10 began their project back in 2012 a bunch initiatives and projects has been achieved: Most notably The Growroom (image 2/ gallery), now available for anyone to use, is an urban farm pavillon, that produces food inside the architecture. The purpose the growroom is simple; let's grow our own food much more locally, and let's share it while we can. But it is not only on the physical front that Space 10 discovers how we can develop the community in better ways. One of their other projects Space I/O is a digital framework and tool for building and designing digital experiences and interfaces in a decentralized way. And the story seem to continue. Space 10 has for some time also held workshops, lecturers on the what the future looks like. On how we can help design, contribute and decentralize it. Space 10 clearly believes that the future is important since it is in a constant change. It remarks responsibility on those who are gonna live in it, which is why need to take care and act. Space 10, sees that the future could exist of customised production as a norm. That we already getting there. Tools for digital fabrication is already accesible to ordinary people. But I think I understand what they really see. If people create stuff themselves, we save a lot more in the end. Check out more at: www.space10.io 16 1 2 4 5
