Gabrielson ’ s CC success unprecedented

Head coach Matt Gabrielson has already coached the Edina High girls cross country team to four state titles going into the 2024 season .
He was denied another title during the COVID 19 year of 2020 when his Hornets were ranked first in state . There was no State Meet that season , however , the Hornets won the last event of the season - the Section 6AA Meet at Gale Woods Farm .
Looking at the prospects for this year , Gabrielson said , “ We ’ re a very young team , but I think we can put something good together by the end of the season . There are some good seniors out for the team , led by Sadie Eicher and Olivia
