The term ‘visionary’ today is often overused and the appeal of the buzzword ‘innovation’ has been thrown around to the point where it has, like the word ‘epic’, lost all meaning. But there are few words other than ‘genius’ and ‘visionary’ that would adequately describe Nikola Tesla. In the history of electrical engineering, the likes of Thomas Edison would be comparable only to Steve Jobs – marketers that improve upon existing technologies.
