FUEL
BY SUNNY DANIELS-HALL
Lake Charles, Louisiana's LAuberge Casino, played host to the "Big Night Out" tour with Fuel headlining the night at their outside concert venue. Led by the unmistakable vocals of front man Brett Scallions, Fuel left an impression that will not soon be forgotten. The years have brought varying versions of the band, but with the stable line up of Scallions, Andy Anderssen on lead guitar, Brad Stewart on bass (formerly of Shinedown) and the recent addition of drummer Shannon Boone (formerly of Puddle of Mud) it is safe to say that Fuel is back and recharged. The argument could be made that the current lineup would classify as nothing short of a supergroup of musicians.
This night brought us many of the old
favorites, including Jesus or a Gun, Prove, Falls on Me, Bad Day, Sunburn, Shimmer, and
Bittersweet. The night concluded with Perhaps, their fan favorite, Hemorrhage.
Currently unsigned, Brett has made us aware the new record is complete. The only question is who will be wise enough to sign them and get the new Fuel music into our hands. As developments unfold, we will keep you updated
When Fuel comes to your neck of the woods, you want to be sure to have a "Big Night Out" and take in the show, you will be very happy that you did.
