ACSA welcomes new educational services executive to the team

With Margaret Arthofer having been named the senior director of Educational Services for ACSA , that meant the association needed someone new to step in and take on Arthofer ’ s work with the ACSA credentialing program . That new person is Tracy Robinson .
Robinson comes to ACSA from her prior position as assistant superintendent , Human Resources for the Solano County Office of Education , which serves the Fairfield , Vacaville , Vallejo , Dixon , Travis and Benicia unified school districts . The move to her new position was a natural one for Robinson , since she had also been serving as a Local Program Coordinator for the ACSA Clear Administrative Services Credential Program at her county office .
In her career , Robinson has also served as a teacher , assistant principal , principal at both the elementary and middle School levels , and as a leadership coach for both Placer and Sacramento county offices of education .
Robinson now jumps in to become ACSA ’ s newest educational services executive .
Robinson
“ In this position I will serve as the director of the Clear Administrative Services Credential Program , which currently has more than 1,000 credential candidates ,” Robinson said . “ This program has grown extensively since new California Professional Standards for Education Leaders were adopted by the California Commission on Teacher
Credentialing in 2014 and is an outstanding program . The standards shifted programs to be coaching based .”
Robinson said her background as a school leader should serve her well in her work with ACSA .
“ My background as a site administrator at an elementary and middle school is critical to delivering and sustaining a program to serve administrators seeking to clear their administrative credential ,” she said . “ My background as a leadership coach with Placer County Office of Education and Sacramento County Office of Education has prepared me with experiences and opportunities to deliver tools and strategies for coaches to support and develop the leadership skills in administrators they coach .”
In addition , Robinson ’ s work in the doctoral program with Brandman University , where she researched best practices for leadership coaching to understand how coaching impacts principal leadership development of technology skills , is bound to be helpful .
During her career as an administrator , Robinson has also been an active member of ACSA . She has served as a Placer Charter Representative , Region 2 Committee representative for CAPEA , and the Region 1-4 North State Planning Committee exhibitor chairperson . Robinson has also participated in ACSA Legislative Action Days .
