The Summit ended with a keynote address from José Antonio Vargas, a Pulitzer Prize- winning journalist and media entrepreneur. He focused on the emerging American identity and how that relates to our immigrant populations. Alain Guevara, president of ACSA's Curriculum, Instruction and Accountability Council, presented the workshop “ELD Integration - The Next Steps.” ACSA Board Member Rafael Plascencia, a principal in Tustin USD, shows the bag he decorated in the ACSA Member Services Lounge. The bags were destined for a home- less charity to be filled with food and other necessities. ACSA mem- bers were invited to decorate the bags with messages of hope.
