Originally from British Columbia, Canada with over 25 years as a professional photo-grapher and photo-journalist, Doug Pyper has always been focused the human element. Whether shooting editorial or commercial assignment, crea-ting portraits in studio or on location, documenting cultural lifestyle or capturing the action of adventure.
The human landscape intrigues him, with its ever changing, endless complexity, and profoundly interesting stories. It is where his camera has drawn him over and over again.
His passion for photographing people endures to this day as the sole reason he is a photographer.
Having traveled extensively in Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and his beloved Ecuador, the culture, people and geographical diversity of this tiny country beckons continues to beckon his spirit.
