step out of my car, be mistaken for another black
man, and be killed.”
Kelechi Eke has received numerous awards
for the films he has made over the past four years.
In late January 2016, he is headed to the
prestigious Sundance Film Festival in Park City,
Utah.
“Filmmaking has really been fun,” he said.
“The challenge always is financial sponsorship, but
when I look back and see what I’ve accomplished, I
am proud of the audiences I have touched and the
issues I have addressed.”
