arbara Pook, Partner, Vice President and Director of Project Management
at PDO Group, is a world class woman who does a world class job on a
world stage. She graduated from Yale University School of Drama in 1980
with a Master of Fine Arts in Theater Design and Technology.
At Yale she started researching the interface between construction, materials,
and industry standards for installation and performance with rigging for the
stage. This may sound dry to some, but not to Barbara. Her interest in how the
‘rubber meets the road’ and how to creatively and technically respect the
aesthetic intentions of the architect and realize their designs began early.
Barbara landed a job after Yale doing a 4-year stint at New York City’s prestigious
Juilliard School as the Stage Department’s Technical Director, building sets,
