In this district there are two very
different areas: in the North
zone where the landscape is
much more mountainous and
with a wealth of game mainly
in the Ebro and Rudrón gorges.
The area of the Amaya rock,
the surrounding area and the
Humada, Rebolledo de la
Torre, the Tozo and Valdelucio
valleys are examples of landscape shaped by the action of
numerous rivers which contrasts
with the high and sparse moor.
Both areas have been included as SPA’s (Special Protection Area) and SCI’s (Site of
Community Importance).
