• Prized for their very soft and very warm fur , known as qiviut ( kiv-ee-it ) that surpasses quality of merino wool and is highly valuable
• Can be quite territorial and few natural predators due to size
• Lives in groups of 10-20 , winter up to 70
• Grazers
