O n the map we can share all the information:
San Martín was born in Yapeyú, Corrientes in modern-day a Province in Argentina. During his
life he was in Spain on several occasions. The first time, when he was a boy, he went to
Málaga. Then he fought in North Africa and he came back to Argentina.
The Liberator’s way was long in the Latin American integration: Cuyo Province, Chile, Lima in
Peru, Guayaquil in Ecuador and he came back to Buenos Aires with the Argentineans people.
About the languages in these countries, we can say that most of them speak Spanish and their
own local dialect and we learnt that people born in Chile are Chilean, in Peru are Peruvian and
in Ecuador are Ecuadorian.
Then the hero travelled to Spain again, he was in Madrid, Málaga and Murcia with Spanish
people.
After that San Martín went to Scotland to meet Scottish people among others. During a short
period he was in Belgium and returned to Paris in France.
The general wanted to come back to Argentina but he only could arrive to Montevideo,
Uruguay with the Uruguayan people. From our neighbour country he returned to Bolougne-sur-
Mer in the South of France, where he died.
He is resting in Buenos Aires Cathedral now.
