3 years after fukushima

The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster was a catastrophic failure at the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant on 11 March 2011, resulting in a meltdown of three of the factory’s six nuclear reactors.

This occurred when the tsunami triggered by the Tōhoku earthquake hit the factory.

After 3 years we decided to scearch how is Fukushima at the moment.

We found out that:

On 9 April 2011 there was leak of radioactive water from underground storage tanks, contaminating soil and water nearby.

In August 2013, almost two and a half years after the nuclear disaster, there were several leaks of radioactive material, and also the possibility of a large overflow of water contaminated with radioactive materials into the Pacific Ocean.
