Dear Brandon,
Yours was the first kitten birth I have experienced and
watching you venture out from Dinah’s embrace or hide
in the sofabed was always entertaining. From newborn
kitten to full-grown senior, you transformed from aloof
and anti-social to become a master cuddler in your later
years. You always found solace and peace when snuggled
with Cinnamon, and eventually, you came around to show
your love for the rest of the family. Your cute mustache
won our hearts, and we knew we couldn’t let you go. With
your absence, it’s the end of an era. You were so loved
and treasured, even if you didn’t always care what others
thought. We miss you, little Brandy.
Dear Riley (Boo),
Despite coming into our lives as an adult, you quickly became part of the family. Your big, soulful eyes and svelte
figure were beyond adorable. If we ever needed a dose of
cuteness, you were there to make us smile by sitting on
our laps or climbing over our shoulders, striking a pose
for the camera… You were the first cat I’d ever seen who
loved to sit in the sink and play with the drip. Your comical character was never lost on us, though your adept hiding skills made our hearts skip a beat every once in a
while. You certainly didn’t have it easy as the newcomer,
but you never gave up, and we admired your strong spirit.
You were taken from us too soon, and we miss you every
day, but you are always in our hearts and minds.
