Little Flower
By Rebecca Doherty
Yearning to blossom,
Striving to emulate her sister,
Spreading her purest white petals like
Arms outstretched for a hug:
“Look how big I am!”
Delicate and naïve,
Brimming with vibrancy and vitality,
Outward elegance belies
Virtuous inner beauty.
Fear unknown,
A single pluck will end it all.
Your strength is your savior, Little Flower.
Be soft in a hard world –
Bend with the wind but do not break.
Aspire, Dream, Persevere.
At times you may question your design…
