Face to Face with 65,000 Marine Animals
On 17 th May 2013, Friday, I went to Dubai Atlantis –“ The Lost Chambers“ Aquarium to see 65,000 marine animals housed there. WoW! What an aquarium, and what a variety of sea animals. Imagine exploring the mysterious ruins of Atlantis, lost for thousands of years deep beneath the sea. We kind of explored the underwater mazes and tunnels of this lost civilization while encountering sharks, eels, seahorses, giant catfish, giant arapaima, jellyfish, lobsters and piranhas. Amazing skates, sharks and many kinds of fishes behind the glass wall. There are a large number of tanks and a very large range of fish to see, and the positioning of the viewing glass allowed us to get really up close to the inhabitants. Plus there is a really huge tank with many viewing windows filled with fishes of all sizes and types. To summarise, it has a good range of fish, the smaller tanks allow us to get really close, and the large tank is awesome,. The lost chamber experience is mesmerizing and surreal. The jellyfish, in particular, and graceful rays and the world’ s largest freshwater fish-the Arapaima-were a sight to be remembered. With 65,000 marine animals swimming in placid waters and 10 beautiful chambers, I enjoyed the amazing Lost Chambers.
