Danone Romania Partners with Eco-Rom Ambalaje Monica Bojincă Senior Marketing & B2B Communications Specialist D anone Romania partenered with Eco-Rom Ambalaje to celebrate “Environment Day”at the Danone headquarters and plant. ﬔis event was aimed at raising the awareness of Danone employees regarding the importance of recycling materials used as resources, of cutting down power, water and packaging use and optimizing routes for milk collection and product distribution. Also, we discussed about separate collection for packaging waste through the implementation of Ecollect within Danone, as well as about environmental protection in Romania in general. A portfolio of information materials was created for the event, offered to Danone employees by the Eco-Rom Ambalaje mascots, and information and education sessions for the employees were organized. Eco-Rom Ambalaje encourages all partners to share with their employees their achievements in packaging recycling, as an incentive for better performance in environment protection. “With more than one million yoghurts produced every day in Bucharest for the Romanian and other European markets, it is essential to have a coherent and quick system for milk collection from farms, processing, packaging yoghurts and distribution. Danone Romania already has great expertise in sustainable development and environment protection projects and we are constantly searching for new solutions to mitigate our impact on the environment. We focus on cutting down power, water and packaging use, and providing selective waste collection and optimized routes. ” Laurențiu Tulvan COO, Danone South-East Europe “RECYCLING TO DE-STRESS” Award for Best Campaign Lorita Constantinescu Public Relations and Communication Director ﬔe “Recycle to De-stress” campaign has won the Brand Awareness and Positioning section of the IAB MIXX Awards. ﬔis campaign was conducted between September 19 – November 19, 2013 and had as a target audience active, busy people for whom waste separation is not a priority. ﬔe concept starts from the idea that packaging waste must pe crushed before it is thrown in the specially designed boxes. Messages grouped under the slogan Recycling to De-stress describe an attractive and fun way to press packaging. ﬔe IAB MIXX Awards recognize and reward the best Romanian digital campaigns. 15
