Fifty years after the participants in that historic
event faced brutal violence with courage, bravery
and determination to achieve a better life for Blacks
and push America towards a truly “free and equal”
future, people of every race and religion were able
to walk across the bridge in peace led by America’s
first Black President walking hand-in-hand with
some of the original Foot Soldiers that risked their
lives to make it possible.
