Carolina: Originally from Puerto Rico, and then I lived in Chile and the Dominican Republic.

Imiko: How did you get started?

Carolina: I got started as I child. It was my favorite thing to do, drawing and painting. Then I was a street artist in New York for awhile.

Imiko: What motivates you as far as the different types of painting you do?

Carolina: I need to paint otherwise I will not be so happy.

Imiko: Do you have website where people can view your work and buy?

Carolina: Yes, it's www.carolinaalcocer.com and also at the Tiny Barn with my good friend Maria Corbalan.

Imiko: When you were growing up, did you paint in school?

Carolina: Yes, there is a funny story. The teacher called my mom and ask her to stop doing my drawings for me. My mom replied and told her that it was me. I also was put with older students in high school when I was in elementary for different art competitions.
