CGS: What are your clients looking for when they hire you?

KLL: “My hope is that they are looking for a fresh and elevated style. I look for and choose things that will look good on clients for their body type. I also try to get them to step just a tiny bit outside of their usual comfort zone.”

CGS: What services do you offer? Do you shop with your clients or without?

KLL: “I mainly do virtual styling, but I definitely shop in person for local clients, and travel if need be.”

CGS: What are some of your favorite topics you discuss on your blog?

KLL: “I love when I try something new with my style and post about it. I also love talking about wearing Spanx. For some reason, this shocked people when I first wrote about it. I’m not sure why. It’s still really funny to me. Spanx or “foundation layers” as I like to say, are for everybody. I wear them all the time because they smooth out all my lumps and bumps.”

CGS: Spring is just around the corner. Give us a sample of what you will be pulling from your closet or looking to buy.

KLL: “Pastels and neons are both really big this Spring, but I’m going

with the neon. I have two long jackets that I can’t wait to wear. I am a color person, so the neon trend is not new to my style. I will probably look like a glowstick all Spring…kidding…kind of….”

CGS: Spring cleaning can be a great way to take inventory of what we have and what we don’t. What should we be eliminating and what can we be adding to our Spring collection?

KLL: “Spring Cleaning is definitely necessary! I always tell people, “If you can’t see what is hanging in your closet it’s a waste of money.” One thing I personally like to do is rotate my closet. I have a spare bedroom closet where I store “out of season” things that I absolutely won’t wear until the next season. I keep everything hanging and just switch them out. If I have things that I haven't worn in 1-2 years I really try to think if I will wear it again and consider if it should it be donated. Of course, I take into account the cost, but every Spring season I try to do a good sized box to donate at the Goodwill.”
