lifestyle. I also felt that I was pretty noticeable among locals because people were staring at me and often asked to take a photo with me. When we did a photo shoot on the streets, a huge crowd gathered around me with their cell phones camera.
Zelinda: If you were not a model, with other professions would you have been doing instead?
Eva: I am pursuing my profession in corporate finance since I have finished my MBA at St. Edward's University. I have a constant struggle of schedule conflicts between my modeling travel and my other job. As a result, I have no personal life and time to spend with my friends. I rarely see my family because I work a lot. However, in the future, I will be able to organize and prioritize my time better since I have earned a lot of respect and recognition for my work and my brand. Now my brand works for me, and I have these valuable connections, agents and other industry people who invest in me and want to work with me.
Zelinda: If a young girl/boy wanted to be a model what would your advice for them be?
Eva: I think they should not be putting all eggs in one basket such as modeling, and expect that their look will give them popularity and success in modeling or acting. This would be a false expectation and a waste of time. I think, everyone should continue to work on their talents, and build a different set of skills, which may not be related to modeling directly.
Zelinda: How do you cope with pressures of being a model?
Eva: I can't claim that I am good at handling stress very well. Most of my stress is not coming from performance anxiety or castings, but from working with people and dealing with their attitudes, disorganization, miscommunication, false statements and promises about different events, shows, shoots and other opportunities. The best way I cope with my stress is the consistent workout routine. Since I believe that exercising is an essential part of our health, and I also found some confirmation in one of the books that I have read that four miles of running is equal to one dose of Prozac, which is a medication design to enhance serotonin (AKA the hormone of happiness). I always feel better after working out, and it keeps my sanity and positive attitude in life.
Zelinda: How do you prepare for a photo shoot or a fashion show: Exercise regimen, diet, routine, balance?
Eva: Exercise, diet, and regiment is something that I do all the time and considering that is being my job. However, sometimes depending on the type of the shoot I can do intermittent fasting and stay on water and lemon for 1 or 2 days before my shoot day to make sure that I have my best shape for a shoot or a fashion show. On a daily basis, I practice a semi-ketogenic diet regiment and religiously drink water with an apple cider vinegar. I also I spend a lot of money on some best diets supplements brands and superfoods like bee pollen and goji berries.
Zelinda: Which designer would you love to model for exclusively?
Eva: I love a few designers, but probably my most favorite is Jessica Angel brand from Los Angeles. I really like her red carpet gowns. I also shoot a lot for her brand, and as a perk of my profession, I got to keep a lot of Jessica Angel beautiful dress. However, in everyday life, I prefer to wear some generic brand like Express, Guess, and Bebe.
Zelinda: What’s next for Eva in 2018?
Eva: First, I recently signed a contract with my new agent in Los Angeles, and I hope I will be doing more movies and commercials work which paid significantly higher. I am planning to move to L.A. permanently. Lastly, I am also opening my startup company, which will be focusing on digital content, social media promotions, and branding.
