He doesn’t want to die… he looks at her as if she has some choice on whether he lives or dies. She looks at him in confusion and notices the rest of the men that are floating in the pool… dead. The man cries under his breath, though far away she can hear every murmur of his voice as if he were right next to her. He looks at her, as if he knows her. He seems so familiar. She feels so connected to him. “please…” Ana looks at him in despair “NO PLEASE DON’T!” “don’t…” He begins to walk toward the pool trembling. It seems he is guiding himself to the pool but is conflicted. Almost as if he doesn’t have control over himself, yet he does. Ana backs from the balcony and runs toward the door of the hotel room. She jolts down the hallway to the elevator and discovers it is not working. She looks to the ceiling. “YOU DID THIS, you fucking bastard”. She runs to the stairwell removing her high heeled shoes she runs down the stairs as if It were her own life she was trying to save, the life she had when there was a will to live. She didn’t want the last man to take his own life.

She runs outside and with almost a halt, she slips and falls upon the water that had overlapped from the drowning men that had filled the pool. With short breathes, unable to hold back her cry as she realizes that it is too late. The last man in the tuxedo had already drowned himself dead. Ana stands up, once again she feels betrayed. It has done it again. It played with her, toyed with her.

There are no more screams only her countenance shows the torment for the lives gone dead. She falls to the ground with her back on the ground that inner voice exits through her chest while still connecting to her heart and it reaches the heavens, “Why have you burned me? “The earth shakes violently and the sky bleeds red rain that pours and fills the earth’s pockets. Her face unmoved only the sounds of a whirlwind of a voice that connects her to the sky. The wind from her chest grabs the sky.

The sky turns red with clouds that seemed to join hands in fear as they battled.
