Romaine Show. Better known by many as Derek
Hartley and Romaine Patterson, the awesome
duo have been in syndication on OutQ Radio for
over a decade now.

“We’re going on 11
years here at Sirius.
We started our radio
careers together
and we’ll probably
end together! The
fact that we’ve been
able to live with each
other for 11 years is
quite remarkable,”
says Patterson.
Their show started in
April of 2003 when
Derek had been
writing an advice
column for a popular
website called Planet
Out. According to
Hartley, he was
offered a radio show
at Sirius by someone
he had worked with
at Planet Out. It
was determined that
Derek would need
someone to co-host
the new show with
him. Romaine at that
time was in a similar
circumstance doing
GLAAD alerts on
internet radio when
she was selected to
host the show with
Derek. Since teaming
up, Derek and
Romaine have proven
their relevance by
dominating the
airwaves with the
growing popularity of
their show.
