September was not only a month of transitioning and changes ; it was also filled with chemical changes and reactions . We demonstrated capillary action by using primary colors and water , and we cleaned copper using acidic solutions . Our learners definitely deserve some fancy lab coats ! For the month of October , we ’ ll focus on combining and separating colors and masses , as well as experimenting with energy . It should an electrifying month !

There was lots of change this past month for our resilient learners . Change can be exciting and thrilling but also a little scary for little ones . Starting a new school year means a new teacher , new rules , and a new environment . There ’ s so much to process and learn , but with a lot of a love and patience , our learners can do anything .
Our Dig Deeper sessions this past month included social experiments about fairness , practicing our rhyming words and helping hands with each other , sharing stories about ourselves and our families , and using our senses to explore . This was a month about building community and relationships . We are laying down the foundation for a successful school year .
