Congratulations to former Yorkshire, Middlesex and England seamer Chris Silverwood, who has enjoyed quite a 12 months. After leading Essex to the County Championship last summer he has now taken up a position replacing Ottis Gibson as England’ s seam bowling coach. The role has already taken him on long tours to Australia and New Zealand, and he’ ll be with the England team at internationals during the summer. Since retiring from playing Silverwood has completed his Level 3 and 4 coaching courses, and has regularly helped tutor the seam bowling sections of those courses.
