EXPECTED RESULTS:

The project will start with the search which each country will do about the national policies and the existing implementations. A survey will be done in each partner countries and according to the survey the incomplete parts and the best practices will all be pointed. As a result of the survey and the beginning analyses the training kits will be prepared for both the trainers groups and the trainees (the caregivers) the training will be both theoretical and practical. The training kits will contain managing the health, managing the physical conditions, managing the emotions, managing the religion values, managing the social life.

The outputs of the project will be published as a booklet and will be delivered to all the partner countries.

KICK OFF MEETING:

With the coordination of the Governorship of Bursa EU Project and Foreign Relation Coordination Center, Elder Care at Home (ECAH) Project kickoff meeting was held between 08 - 11 February 2016 as a part of the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships in Adult Education Program.

The objective of the project is contributing to low-income families looking after elders or disabled people at home with regards to retirement pensions, health and long term care services, which came into prominence under “Europe Social Protection and Social Inclusion Strategy” in the field of social protection.

As a part of the project, 4 European Meetings and Workshops will be held with the participation of project partner countries of Turkey, Italy and Poland.

As an introduction to the project, the “Elder Care at Home” kick off meeting was held on 08/02/2016 at Podyum Davet in Bursa.

In the context of the program, a visit was made to the Ali Osman Sönmez Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, affiliated to the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies which is one of project partners.
