Ray died suddenly at age 51 . Speculation indicates that he suffered a heart attack at his home in Levittown , Puerto Rico .

Delia was named " The mother of the Latin American soap opera " for her contribution as a writer of soap operas and radio soap operas in Latin America . The Cuban by birth made great contributions to the sector in the 1970s when she made productions for Venevisión and Radio Caracas in Venezuela .
