Sewing for Wildlife
W
e have all been effected by the terrible weather conditions and
subsequent fires currently burning our lovely country and are deeply
concerned for our poor native animals.
Rather than just talk about the situation, our Learning and Lifestyles
group decided to do something about helping in whatever way they
could. Tara, who leads the art classes, came up with an idea to support
our furry friends by making pouches for the orphaned kangaroos and
mittens for the Koalas who had suffered terrible burns to their hands
and feet.
On Monday 3rd February our group went to Cleland’s Wild life park to
give the finished products to those who can distribute where needed.
