This is something we started work on over three years ago to ensure we were ready and able to support you through the NDIS. The groundwork for EBL’s Plan Management service has been built up over the past three years, starting with humble beginnings with only a handful of clients, to building to the current service level exceeding hundreds of participants. The EBL Plan Management team is now capable of efficiently assisting these and many more families with their NDIS plans, providing much needed value towards utilising their NDIS funds appropriately. “ In the same way, we are now in the final stages of pulling together our ChildWise Quality Safeguarding Accreditation. This too has been a three-year journey and is one that fits nicely into the NDIS Safeguarding Accreditation framework which comes into effect in SA on 1 July 2018. ” Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. – Helen Keller Essentially, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is a new independent body that will regulate the NDIS marketplace and support quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. The Commission will have a no wrong door approach. What this means is that no issue is out of the Commission’s remit, it will help link the person or their guardian with the correct body or agency to support them. Anyone can make a complaint to the Commission. Should you have any questions regarding Plan Management, or the Childwise Framework and Safeguarding Accreditation, please do not hesitate to contact us anytime. EBL QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER 1
