SUGAR-COATE D WORDS We fall for words not actions. We say I love you for fun, with no hint of passion. False hopes and expectations can cut deep into our souls. Those sugar coated words of love and adoration should get old. I’ve grown too tired of waiting, I’ve fallen way too deep. In this world full of color and hope, I’ve lost too many people; now unconditional love is what I seek. I don't need those words of encouragement. I don't need those cheesy sugared up lines. What I need is a pat in the back, Saying, “I'm here for you, no doubts and no lies”. When someone comes, then you should make sure if those words are really for you, in case you've fallen too. Look into those eyes and see what's in there. Make sure it isn't fantasy, and then relax, you'll get there. Sugar-coated words will be ordinary words if you let them. But ordinary words hold the most extreme expression of love we cannot always see. A simple “"see you", "be careful", and "thanks"” would mean a lot than the liars who shout “"I love you"” and “"I miss you" out loud. BY ANA SALVE SERRANO
